Security Company Licence
Security and Guarding Services Industry Authority (SGSIA)
Any company supplying individuals to do security work for reward, or supplying armoured car or security systems services, must hold a Security Company Licence issued by the Security and Guarding Services Industry Authority under the Security and Guarding Services Ordinance (Cap. 460). Licences are granted by type of security work: Type I (provision of security guarding services), Type II (armoured transportation services) and Type III (installation and maintenance of security systems). Applicants and their controllers must be fit and proper persons with adequate equipment and supervision arrangements.

- The Authority processes and determines the application within 28 days after the material date if no hearing is conducted; the material date falls within 60 days of application submission or on completion of police investigation, whichever is earlier
